Train incident at Llan
(In Memory of a suicide)
Out to the tavern, that was all.
As fearless as the mountains of Yr Hen Blwyf
are stark; his life was
threatened
by death.
Save a journey that was lost that morning,
hit into a void of blackness and bewilderment
as his travel
went onward.
A few seconds.....that was all it would
take for him to go, but
Why him, why them who tended
his smashed
soul?
Eighty years wiped to a pulp in
mechanised seconds;
Pick up his pieces of living for the man
who now
knows dying.
Llangynwyd that crisp morn, cries
its litanies of grief and tragedy
for him now.
