THREE CHILD MURDERS IN ONE SUMMER
(In memory of Sophie Hook, Robbie Gee and Paul Barker)
Two places
in one hot summer
Stand out
suddenly as black
Yes the sun
continues to bake
This long
drawn out existence
Someone stirs
in the blackness
And knifes
the way through again
Two lives
in one place, one life
in another,
all three become one
Become another
word of murder
It’s
so commonplace these days
Don’t
we all say it citizens?
Yes we are
conditioned now
Cheap lives,
throwaway souls
Stand up in
the death throes
Again we can
weep, wail, bury
Swing the
incense, smell the reality
Why, why,
what is wrong?
Is this a
violence revolution now
Anarchy, society,
life becomes turmoil
Let us now
kill all life
In memory of these three children who were murdered
July 29-30 1995, Sophie in Llandudno, Robert and Paul in Wirral.
